Garbage Collection Affected By Christmas & New Year's Day
Due to the Christmas and New Year’s Day Holidays, Thursday, December 25, 2025 and Thursday, January 1, 2026, residential garbage collection for all City residents whose trash is normally collected on Thursday or Friday will be delayed one day during both holiday weeks.
The City of Youngstown will be following their normal pick up schedule Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday both holiday weeks.
The regular residential garbage collection schedule will resume January 04, 2026.

Residential Garbage Collection Not Affected By Veterans Day
Residential garbage collection within the City of Youngstown will NOT be affected by the Veterans Day holiday, Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
The City of Youngstown Sanitation Department will be following their normal pickup schedule.
City residents should place their garbage at the curb for their regularly scheduled collection date.
Residential Garbage Collection Not Affected By Columbus Day
Residential garbage collection within the City of Youngstown will NOT be affected by the Columbus Day Holiday, Monday, October 13, 2025.
The Sanitation Department of the City of Youngstown will be following their normal pickup schedule.
City residents should place their garbage at the curb for their regularly scheduled collection date.
Residential Garbage Collection Affected by Labor Day Holiday
Youngstown Residential Garbage Collection Affected by Labor Day Holiday
In observance of Labor Day, City of Youngstown offices will be closed on Monday, September 1st to allow their employees time to spend with their families.
There will be no garbage collection service on Monday, September 01, 2025.
The following is the garbage collection service schedule for the week of Labor Day only:
* If your normal service day is MONDAY, you will be serviced on TUESDAY.
* If your normal service day is TUESDAY, you will be serviced on WEDNESDAY.
Residential Garbage Collection Not Affected By Juneteenth Holiday
YOUNGSTOWN RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE COLLECTION NOT AFFECTED BY JUNETEENTH HOLIDAY
Residential garbage collection within the City of Youngstown will NOT be affected by the Juneteenth Holiday, observed Thursday, June 19, 2025.
The Sanitation Department will be following their normal pickup schedule.
City residents should place their garbage at the curb for their regularly scheduled collection date.
Residential Garbage Collection Affected by Memorial Day Holiday
In observance of Memorial Day, City of Youngstown offices will be closed on Monday, May 26th to allow their employees time to spend with their families.
There will be no garbage collection service on Monday, May 26th.
The following is the garbage collection service schedule for the week of Memorial Day only:
* If your normal service day is MONDAY, you will be serviced on TUESDAY.
* If your normal service day is TUESDAY, you will be serviced on WEDNESDAY.
* If your normal service day is WEDNESDAY, you will be serviced on THURSDAY.

Residential garbage collection within the City of Youngstown will NOT be affected by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday, Monday, January 20, 2025.
The Sanitation Department will be following their normal pickup schedule.
City residents should place their garbage at the curb for their regularly scheduled collection date.
Downtown EV Charging
All of the Level 2 EV chargers are now active in the redesigned Fifth Avenue EV and Kress (Water Customer) parking lots.
Use of the Level 2 EV chargers is available for a charged fee of $0.30 per kWh ($4 per hour idle fee). Service is available through the EVConnect mobile app.
The reconfigured Fifth Avenue EV and Kress parking lots are part of the effort to bring public EV charging to Downtown Youngstown, with 4 Level 2 chargers, capable of charging 8 EV's, installed.
