Parks: Facilities & Rates

Effective June 9, 2021, the City of Youngstown Parks and Recreation Department will be accepting field rental reservations by appointment only, for the purpose of youth football practices and games. Access to all approved field rental applications will begin July 5, 2021. At your scheduled appointment, proof of liability insurance is required. In a continued effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, all rentals will be subject for review throughout the season.

The following Parks and Recreation fields will be available for practice only:

• MVSD (Mahoning Valley Sanitary District): 180 N. Dunlap Ave.
• Gibson Field: 1461 Gibson St.
• Ipe Field: 1126 E. Midlothian Blvd.
• Victory Field (lower): 615 Cassius Ave.

All games will be scheduled to play at Nick Johnson Park (Bailey Park). Please contact the Parks and Recreation Department for questions, concerns, and to schedule field rental appointments.

• Please be aware of your surroundings.
• Children should be supervised by an adult at all times.
• Only use park equipment and/or facilities for the intended purpose.
• Call 911 for emergencies.
• Call 330-742-8711 Monday-Friday between 8-4 for Non-emergency situations.
• Report all accidents to park staff.
• Never build fires at any Youngstown Parks location. Use charcoal only in grills provided at designated picnic spots within parks.
• Guard against sunburn and long-term effects of skin cancer by using sunscreen.
• Thefts from cars and of personal property left unattended at parks can be a problem. Do not take unnecessary valuables with you on your outing, and never leave any valuables unattended in the park or in the car, even in the locked trunk.
• During hot and muggy days, avoid unnecessary exposure to heat and drink plenty of water.
• Watch the weather.
• Keep dogs on a leash at all times.
• Stay on trails to avoid poison ivy!
• Park closes at dusk.
