Council Member Profile
Councilwoman Amber WhiteAmber White is the first independent in 28 years to hold City Council office. Mrs. White is the third generation to make her home within the 7th Ward, after her grandparents migrated from Hungary to Youngstown’s Southside in 1945. She is the proud mother of two boys and a current business owner. Her entrepreneurial endeavors include home remodeling & restoration and towing and recovery businesses. Her skill set includes being very organized, good communicator, detailed oriented, and being extremely hardworking. Mrs. White is a community advocate and has spent time volunteering with area groups such as Little Redman Football, Safe Zones, the Jericho Project, and Green Youngstown, while participating in various community clean-up events. Also, she is a member of the local international non-profit organization the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 213. Her interests include serving our Youth, Safety and Senior Care, Economic Development opportunities, and growth within the Ward. She was recently selected to serve on Youngstown City Council Standing Committees: Committee on Public Health and the Committee on Education. Councilmember White’s goals for her first term include:
