Councilwoman Samantha TurnerSamantha Turner is the newly elected 3rd Ward City Councilwoman, who brings experience in governance, community engagement, and business administration to the office. Miss. Turner is the chair of the Parks and Playgrounds and Public Health Committee, vice-chair for Public Utilities, and committee member for parking and public health. In the community, Miss. Turner is active with the Rotary Club of Youngstown, the Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens, the Boys and Girls Club of Youngstown, First Night Youngstown, the Ebony Ladies Golf and Youth Foundation, Ohio Urban Renaissance, and is the steward of the Fairgreen Neighborhood Garden. In addition to City Council, Miss Turner writes grants and proposal for business and non-profits, teaches yoga, volunteers, and subcontracts for her father’s business, which allows her the flexibility needed to meet with City colleagues and constituents. Miss Turner is a graduate of the University of Florida and holds a Bachelor of Science in Advertising, with an outside concentration in Business Administration. She is also an avid reader, gardener, animal lover, and enjoys spending time with her son, family, and friends. |
