Green Youngstown: Educational Programs

Every Fall, Green Youngstown holds a Recycling Art Calendar Contest for schools within the City limits. A new theme is chosen every year and submissions are selected per grade grouping. The winners receive an invitation, along with their family, Art Teacher, and Principal, to attend a pizza party in their honor. City and County officials are invited to help encourage the young artists.

Green Youngstown is also available for the following:

• Science Fairs (Judging)
• Information Tables
• Block Watch Meetings
• Religious or Cultural Festivals

NOTE: Our regular Office Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM. Any activity outside of these times is subject to approval.

We can help you plan service projects such as litter cleanups, beautifications and recycling drives. The success of Green Youngstown depends largely on the efforts of our volunteers. Some of our biggest events throughout the year include our Roadway Cleanup, Citywide Cleanups in the Spring and Fall, America Recycles Day (November 15), and Earth Day (April 22).
