First Annual March Madness
March Madness basketball action at the Eugenia Atkinson Recreation Center
Parks & Recreation - March 21, 2024
The first annual March Madness youth basketball tournament, sponsored by the City of Youngstown Parks & Recreation Department, took place on March 9, 2024, at the Eugenia Atkinson Recreation Center.
8 age-bracketed teams played, involving youth from 5 to 12 years old, with 4 teams taking home championship trophies. Every recipient received a medal for their great sportsmanship.
The basketball tournament brought smiles to City kids and built strong relationships, in the process.
