"Boo-Yah" Trunk-or-Treat

Vendors handing out treats to children during "Boo-Yah"

Parks & Recreation - December 4, 2020

Due to COVID-19 pandemic threats to public health, the City of Youngstown cancelled traditional Halloween Trick-or-Treat for 2020. "Boo-Yah", a drive-through trunk-or-treat event at the Covelli Centre, was held on Halloween Day, as a safer alternative. A cooperative undertaking of the City of Youngstown Parks and Recreation department, Youngstown City Health District, and the ICU Block Watch Group, the event was a huge success. A total of 32 vendors supplied and handed out candy and treats to carloads of costumed kids. Cars were said to be lined up for at least a mile.
