Health - Air Pollution Division (M-TAPCA)

The Mahoning-Trumbull County Air Pollution Control Agency (M-TAPCA) was created and then awarded delegation of authority under the Ohio EPA in 1972 to enforce state air pollution regulations and perform various services under contract with the Ohio EPA. The primary purpose of the Air Pollution Control Division is to protect Mahoning and Trumbull County citizens from the adverse health and welfare impacts of air pollution.

M-TAPCA is contractually responsible for various air pollution services in Mahoning and Trumbull counties including, but not limited to, those below:


Asbestos Demolition and Renovation Notification and Inspection

Register an Air Pollution Complaint

Facility Inspections

Open Burning Permits

Air Monitoring
